Learn Russian Words app good for

Compared to other language flash card apps, the ability to click on pictures/sceneries with different objects and their translations is pretty cool. It is a bit small on the iPhone (would be better if you could highlight all clickable pics when you start to avoid missing some) and needs a zoom feature and one line dedicate to the Russian words and phonetic text (too small as is). Otherwise great app. Next version would be amazing with a quiz/test function.

App provides very easy way to Learn Russian Words. In my opinion it is one of the primary tools for beginners such as me.

Some bad moments

I love how you can make any word in each photo repeat its pronounciation however many times you want by tapping the object. Im also a visual leaner, i like to see what what I am saying. Its a great beginner Russian app!

The entire vocabulary under the category restaurant has to do with the table setting...plate, napkin, spoon, pepper, bowl. I need to know wine, beer, water, chicken, beef, waiter, check. How many times am I really going to need to ask for a Plate in a restaurant? Same for the category hotel...entire vocabulary is in the hotel room itself. I really dont need to know the term for wastebasket. Whoever is sharing my room will likely be speaking English.

If you cant speak Russian, this is amazing with all the words you need, if youre on vacation.
